Dr. Biplab Mishra

Dr Biplab Mishra is a distinguished Consultant, specializing in Surgical Oncology, with over 12 years of clinical experience. He currently practices at HCG Cancer Centre, Sola in Ahmedabad.

Throughout his career, Dr Mishra has been associated with esteemed institutions such as IGH Superspecialty Hospital, Rourkela and Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai, managing a wide array of complex medical cases.

His primary interest lies in the oncological resection for GI malignancies using minimally invasive approaches like robotic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. He has specialized expertise in performing the following procedures:

1. Upper GI: Esophagus (including thoracoscopic and robotic esophagectomy) and stomach (Proximal, Total, and Distal gastrectomies)
2. Colorectal: Robotic low anterior resection (LAR), abdominoperineal resection (APR), and robotic intersphincteric resection (ISR)
3. Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB): Pancreatic and liver resections
4. Thoracic Oncology: Robotic lobectomies and Mediastinal mass resection

He has hands-on experience with the Da Vinci Xi system and performs more than 250 types of oncological resections. He actively participates in professional bodies like Society of Surgical Oncology, USA, ensuring continuous learning and adherence to the latest medical standards.

Dr Biplab earned his MBBS and MS General Surgery. Further he did his DrNB Surgical Oncology from National Board of Examination, New Delhi and Observership in Gastrointestinal Transplants from Northwestern University, Chicago.
