One thing that stood out was how strongly the doctor emphasized the importance of regular follow-up checkups. Even though I had to leave for my Master’s studies a few months after the surgery, the doctor still insisted that I continue my routine eye checkups — including retinal examinations and overall eye health evaluations. I followed this advice diligently, and I believe it played a major role in my smooth recovery. For anyone considering LASIK, my biggest recommendation is this: do not skip your follow-up checkups. The surgery is just the first step, but the regular monitoring afterwards is what truly ensures long-term eye health and recovery.
