Dr Vivek Vij is a well-known Gastrointestinal Surgeon currently associated with Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurugram. He has 25 years of experience in Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Sciences and worked as an expert Liver Transplant Surgeon in different cities of India.

Dr Vivek Vij is the Director of ‘The Department of Liver Transplantation and Gastrointestinal Surgery’ at Fortis Health Care (Faridabad, Gurugram, Delhi, Chandigarh). He is the youngest liver transplant doctor in India to complete 800 independent liver transplants with the lowest Biliary Complication Rate.

Dr Vij is the first liver surgeon from the Indian subcontinent to publish a series of laparoscopic donor hepatectomies in Liver Transplantation. He and his team have a cumulative experience of more than 4000+ liver transplants with a record of 97% patients and 100% donor success rate.
