Dr. Satish Rudrappa

Dr Satish Rudrappa is a Neurosurgeon working as a Director of Head of Spine Surgery and Neurosurgery at Sakra World Hospital. He has 33 years of experience and worked as an expert in different cities of India. He was previously associated with Manipal Hospital and Louisiana State University Medical Centre, Shreveport.

He has contributed to handling numerous complex medical cases in several hospitals. He has performed more than 6000 brain surgeries and 7500 complex spine surgeries (Microsurgery), with an overall experience of more than 13500 procedures for Brain and Spine.

He was the first person in India to perform Image Guided Spine and Brain Surgery. His special interests include:

He also completed a Fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery from Detroit Medical Centre, Detroit, Michigan, USA. He later completed training in Thoracoscopic Spine from Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, USA, followed by a Fellowship in Microvascular Anastomosis at Henry Ford Hospital, USA.

He has participated in research work and various workshops under the department and has published many papers. He is an active member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Neurological Society of India (NSI), etc.
